Listen to Dr Melanie on Wellness for the Real World

I had a great time chatting with Dr Veronica Anderson and her co-host Russell Cook on today's edition of their Wellness for the Real World show on BlogTalkRadio.

The five experts differed on whether they thought regret had any value. While some life coaches thought regret kept people stuck and was a negative force, a Social Psychology Professor pointed out that without regret, we would not know when to change course and try new strategies.

I took a middle ground. I believe regret can be helpful  if it inspires us to action, and we actually are in a position to change the situation. If it's too late to make different choices, such as when we are elderly, regretful thoughts can drain our energy and keep us stuck in a cycle of "Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda"

What are your thoughts about regret. Do you regret things you have done or what you didn't do?  Did regret help you to change your behavior?
